Duckline

When my children get older. Maybe when I can get my husband/wife to go. When things calm down. One of these days when I have some time. These are a few of the lines we hear when we ask folks to come to church with us. When the ducks are all neatly placed in line we will go, or we will be happy, or we will....fill in the blank. Can you imagine Jesus standing in line behind ducks? I can't either. He needs to be at the head of the line and then He will help us put the ducks in order. Think about it.

Getting Back To The Right

Most people with any conservative values at all, whether Democrat or Republican, can see that the country is moving quickly to the left. People (with any common sense) will agree that that is not a good place to go. I don't know any ordinary citizen that dreams of living in a country where a few get rich off the backs of many. It hasn't worked anywhere it has been tried. Socialism inevitably leads to Marxism or Communism where a dictator is involved. Basically it comes down to this, misery. Who do you know would be happy working for chump money with no hope of bettering their standard of living?Who is happy with oppression?
Well the same people who have a problem with leaning left in politics find it perfectly fine to liberalize religion. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you HAVE to believe the same way I do or that there can be no choice when it comes to religion. God wants us to come to Him of our own free will. BUT, we do need to come to HIM according to HIS will. We hear talk about getting back to the Constitution and I agree, but what about getting back to the Bible? I don't mean to go to the Bible and use it like a buffet where you can pick and choose the passages you want to follow. What is needed is some good old fashioned reading, understanding, (and yes, the average man CAN understand it) and obeying. After all the constitution will only serve us for a little while in this lifetime, but the Bible will judge us (John 12:48) and determine our eternal abode. Which is the most important? HMMMMM? Could the disinterest in things religious in this country be due in part, to religious division? Think about it.

It seems to me that telling the truth would be much easier for the Speaker of the House than making an idiot of herself on national TV. Am I the only one who feels that our entire legislature is corrupt and filled with liars and cheats? I can't wait for 2010 and the next election. Let's clean house! It doesn't matter to me if they are wearing a 'D' or an 'R' beside their name. There's very little difference. The letters are blurring and looking more like an 'E' for egotistical. Let's give them the 'B' for BOOT!

Kiddie Cars

First of all I am not convinced that we need to worry about carbon emissions. Where is the proof? Al Gore will not debate with any one about "global warming" and there are way too many experts out there crying foul. So what is the rush to mess up our cars and car making manufacturers?
We can drill. Why don't we just drill. Hello! Anybody out there? Scientists have discovered that the earth is constantly making oil. There is no shortage. Lets drill for crying out loud.
I don't want to be driving around in a plastic covered go-cart that is a death wish. An impact with a good sized dog will total the thing and I am supposed to put my family in it???? This is totally absurd. It is ludicrous.

Sundays

I am a news junkie. I listen to news and watch it on TV all day and night. Of course, I'm not really listening/watching all day long but my radio or TV is on all the time, except Sunday. I enjoy keeping up with current events but it does stress me out. By Sunday I've had it so I make it a point to keep as far away from the media as possible on that day. Sunday is the day of worship and that is what I do. I go to church and I come home to relax, usually in the form of an afternoon nap. Who could worship God and then listen to the news? Wouldn't that defeat your worship. You go to sing praises, learn about love, kindness, sacrifice, mercy, etc. Then you turn on the news to learn of cheats, deceivers, hypocrites, liars... No thank you. Not on the Lord's day. Sundays are the best days, the happiest days. Sundays are a gift from God!

My First Ever Blog!

I love to write (not type) and I am excited to be writing my very first blog. Yes, I realize the only person who will ever read it (other than my children & husband) will be forced to do so. It will either be punishment for some senior who failed to finish an assignment or possibly it will be used in place of water boarding by the C.I.A. If the latter is the case - Praise Jesus.

I am really sick of all the talk about torture. If water boarding is torture why are they using it on our own special forces in our military. What a bunch of bologna! If I were running this sissified (politically correct) government I'd start with the water boarding first and then ask questions. Terrorist only respond to terror. What kind of information are you going to get by patting them on the head and kissing their cheeks? I believe our information gathering methods were fine the way they were and we've been safe in this country for eight years because of them.

Is there anyone out there (besides me) who believes this country is the best in this world? If so we need to start speaking up. I don't want to live in a country like Europe (soon to be Eurabia). America is unique. Let's keep her that way! Pray for this nation and for our leaders.
